Outdoor optical lenses are rated by their Visible Light Transmission (VLT), referring to how much light is allowed to pass through the lens to the eye. The range is 0% to 100%. The lower the percentage number, the less light transmits through the lens. The higher the number, the more light is allowed through. This is further simplified into four categories: S1, S2, S3, S4. S1 allows the most light transmission and S4 lens blocks the most light.

In our V2/V3/V4/V5 models, Varga has produced two lenses that provide protection from the sunniest bluebird days to days with variable light conditions (cloud/snow, etc). Each Varga kit comes with two lenses: one strong S3 lens with a VLT rating of 14% for sunny days and a S2 lens with a VLT of 20% for lower-light days.

The V1 series comes with a strong S3 lens with 18% VLT rating for sunny days and a low-light S1 lens with a 53% VLT rating.

All Varga lenses filter 100% UVA/UVB rays.

Both series of lenses share identical Visible Light Transmission ratings with the S2 and S3 lenses allowing for 20% and 14% Visible Light Transmission (VLT) respectively. The Photokinetic series is a newer lens technology engineered with the same optical superior qualities as the Zeiss lenses but with additional plating of anti-scratch protection. Both series have anti-scratch protection, the Photokinetic was made to be our strongest in this area.

At this time, Varga ships within Canada only. Varga will ship globally for the 24/25 season.

We guarantee all Varga products to the original owner against materials or craftsmanship. If we find the product to be defective, we will repair it, replace it, or refund your purchase price at our discretion. Of course, this guarantee does not cover lens scratches. Any misuse, abuse, or any alterations of our products void this craftsmanship guarantee

You are welcome to return or exchange your products within 30 days as long as they are in their original packaging, with all  Accessories, show zero sign of use, and the inside protection film has not been peeled off.
